Bargin find!

So I don't just want to start blogging every time I buy a new nail varnish but.... The other day I was staying away from home and I forgot to bring any nail varnish... I know it really was that bad... And I was a bit short on cash so I popped into Boots to see if they had anything cheap and I saw that the miss sporty nail varnishes were only about £1.99 so I picked up this nice nude colour as iv been after one for a while and I thought this would just do till I was back home! This was on Tuesday and its now Saturday night, I have not touched it up once! I used my Sally Hanson base coat (an old gloopy one I keep in my bag just incase) and then put 2 coats of the colour on and I can't see a single chip! I think its amazing I'm so impressed! It's miss sporty lasting colour maxi brush, up to 10 days in no 24. It applied well and dryed fast it says lasts up to 10 days but they all say that and I tend to find they only last a couple of days but I'm so impressed with this I would buy more in the future! Anyway I just wanted to pass this info on! The pic looks more patchy and translucent than it looks on the actual nail but I recommend you try it out!

Rimmel London Matte finish

So I mentioned in my last post about a matte top coat that is my favourite! It is really fast drying which I love, iv tryed it out several times on several diffirent colours and it has looked good on them all! It deffiently works! I would 100% recommend this nail varnish! So this is called Rimmel London lycra pro Matte Finish up to 10 Days. To be honest I have never used a nail varnish which has lasted over 4 days without chipping but this top coat has lasted me at least 3 days without chipping everytime I have used it!
I preped my nails then painted them with base coat, then 2 coats of models own in fuzzy peach then I painted 2 coats of the top coat. I think it looks better with 2 coats and has a lovely smooth velvety finish!
In my pictures I have left my ring finger without the top coat so you can see the diffirence between the gloss and matte although I don't think it has come up to clearly in the picture!

Textured Nail Effect by Barry M

So I haven't posted in ages because iv been so busy with work since the new year, there aren't many social events so there is no need to keep up the nice nails and I haven't found many exciting new things to blog about.... But recently iv been seeing the Barry M texture nail effects so I decided to pick one up! They were about 3 or 4 pound and I got it from Boots.
So here are the results! I painted these yesterday night and iv worn it to work all day and I haven't used a top coat ,although my new favourite top coat is the rimmel matt top coat which lasts up to ten days, I love it, it turns any nail varnish into an elegant matt version! The textured nail varnish was quite strange when I first applied it as I'm used to smooth nails, it went on smooth but as it dryed it started to show its texture, its how I imagine it would be if you mixed sand into nail varnish, although this has a very fine texture even though its looks quite course, but as the day went on I got used to it. This is two coats, it drys fast and has an even coverage. This colour is Atlantic road no 305. So far its worn really well and I'm pleased with the result!
